Lafayette College's football program has achieved notable recognition with four student-athletes named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Graduating seniors Dylan Aguilera, Reed Collins, Tighe Cummiskey, and Phillip Peiffer exemplify the balance of academic and athletic excellence, contributing to a program that has maintained representation in this honor society since its inception. Aguilera and Cummiskey were pivotal on special teams, while Collins, a consistent starter, helped the offense achieve significant rushing milestones over his career. Peiffer also made his mark, starting every game in the 2025 season and recording 32 tackles.
Meanwhile, the women's lacrosse team is set to face off against rival Lehigh in a critical matchup. As they prepare to cross the valley for this contest, the Leopards aim to build momentum and improve their standing in the league. This game is particularly significant as it not only represents a rivalry but also serves as an opportunity for the team to showcase their development and competitive spirit as the season progresses.
In addition to these athletic achievements, Lafayette will host the annual PARDees awards ceremony on May 4, celebrating student-athletes' accomplishments throughout the year. The event will honor outstanding individuals and teams, including the prestigious Charles L. Albert '08 Award and the Class of 1913 Trophy, highlighting the dual commitment to athletics and academics that defines Lafayette's student-athlete experience.
