The Babson College women’s golf team, ranked 22nd nationally, began the Jack Leaman Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts, with a strong showing, finishing the first round in eighth place. First-year Vanya Bansal led the team with a 3-over par 75, demonstrating her potential as a newcomer to the collegiate level. The tournament features an 11-team field, including some of the top programs in the country, and Babson is competing in this prestigious event for the third consecutive year.
The Jack Leaman Invitational is hosted at The Orchards Golf Club, a par 72 course known for its challenging layout and rich history, having previously hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 2004.
