In a standout week for the Tufts University men's lacrosse team, senior attack Jack Regnery has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week. Regnery played a pivotal role in the Jumbos' victories over No. 5 Babson and Hamilton, contributing a total of 10 goals and five assists across the two matches. He scored four goals and assisted on two others in a 17-8 win against Babson, and followed that performance with a season-high nine points—six goals and three assists—in an 18-10 triumph at Hamilton. This recognition marks Regnery's second career NESCAC Player of the Week honor, and he continues to lead the team with 41 goals and 30 assists this season. The Jumbos, currently ranked No. 1, will face No. 2 Bowdoin College in their regular season finale on April 22.
In track and field, junior Ceci LaBarge has been recognized as the NESCAC Field Athlete of the Week following a remarkable performance during her recent trip to California. Competing in multiple throwing events, LaBarge achieved a career-best hammer throw of 51.41 meters at the University of La Verne's Leopard Invitational, placing fifth at the meet and ranking 22nd nationally. She also performed well at the Bryan Clay Invitational, finishing 12th in the hammer throw and setting a personal record in the shot put with a throw of 10.35 meters. LaBarge's achievements highlight a strong season for the Jumbo track and field team.
The Tufts men's golf team is gearing up for the 2026 NESCAC Championships, aiming to reclaim their title after finishing eighth last year. The Jumbos will compete at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Connecticut, from April 24 to 26. Senior Holden Kittelberger leads the team with a scoring average of 73.7 and hopes to build on his recent performance, where he finished 22nd at the Emory University Invitational. The Jumbos won their first NESCAC Championship in 2024 and are looking to add to their accomplishments this season.
