Colgate University’s softball team made headlines this week by clinching its first postseason berth since 2022, while also sweeping the Patriot League’s weekly awards. Nora Megenity was named Player of the Week after an impressive performance, batting .500 with a .526 on-base percentage and a remarkable 1.222 slugging percentage. Megenity hit four home runs and drove in seven runs, setting new program records for home runs (20) and hits (66) in a season. Kelcie McGraw earned Pitcher of the Week honors, going 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA over 20.1 innings, while Marina Taveras was recognized as Rookie of the Week. The Raiders went 4-1 during the week, sweeping Lafayette and splitting a doubleheader with UAlbany, breaking seven single-season records in the process.
In men's lacrosse, Colgate achieved a significant upset, defeating Bucknell 6-5 in overtime to advance to the Patriot League semifinals. The Raiders, seeded fifth in the tournament, overcame an early deficit at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Four players from the team received All-League honors: Sam Erickson was named to the first team, while Hunter Drouin, John Carrabine, and Patty Eldredge earned second-team selections. Erickson's defensive contributions included the second-most ground balls (43) on the team, while Drouin led the offense with 24 goals and 43 total points.
On the women's lacrosse side, Gracie DeSimone was selected for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, recognizing her outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom. Meanwhile, Aubrey McMahon garnered First Team All-Patriot League honors, marking her second consecutive postseason accolade.
In golf, Brayden Dock was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team following a strong sophomore season, showcasing his skill and consistency throughout the year. The announcement reflects Dock's significant contributions to the team as they look ahead to future competitions.
