Megan Krestinski continues to rewrite the record books for Bucknell women's lacrosse, earning First Team All-Patriot League honors after leading the Bison to their second Patriot League Tournament victory in program history. Krestinski's remarkable season includes a record-breaking 73 points, surpassing the previous single-season mark of 71. Her contributions include 46 goals and 27 assists, making her a pivotal force as the Bison prepare to face top-seeded Navy in the semifinals on April 30. Alongside Krestinski, senior defender Jess Leon and freshman attacker Caleigh Cummiskey received Second Team All-Patriot League accolades, solidifying a strong showing for Bucknell in the postseason.
In men's lacrosse, Bucknell's season came to a close after a narrow 6-5 overtime loss to Colgate in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Bison, who finished the season with an 8-7 record, saw senior attackman Michael Meyer and junior midfielder Peter Grandolfo recognized as First Team All-Patriot League selections. Meyer concluded the season with 34 goals and 18 assists, while Grandolfo also made significant contributions to the offense. The match against Colgate was marked by strong defensive play, with Bucknell's Jaz Zanelli making 11 saves in a game that featured only 11 goals total.
On the baseball diamond, Bucknell outlasted Navy in a marathon 13-inning game, winning 6-5 to create a three-way tie for first place in the Patriot League. Zach Selfon delivered the game-winning hit, while relievers Bryce Mitchell and Hadley Maxwell played crucial roles in the victory. Earlier in the week, the Bison dropped both games of a doubleheader to Navy, despite strong performances from Garrett Mathias and John Calabrese, who combined for several hits across the games. With three games remaining in the regular season, Bucknell remains in contention for a top seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament.
In softball, Bucknell faced a setback against Army, losing 8-2 in the rubber match of their series. The Bison initially took the lead but were unable to maintain momentum as Army responded with eight unanswered runs. Senior Haley Speicher made her final home game memorable with a triple, but the Bison could not capitalize on early scoring opportunities. The team now looks to regroup as they head into the final stretch of the season.
Finally, in track and field, Evelyn Bliss continues to shine, earning multiple accolades after a record-setting performance at the Penn Relays. Bliss was named the Patriot League Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Week and also received recognition as the Bison of the Week. Freshman Julia Sobilo earned her second Rookie of the Week award following a strong showing in the discus throw at the same event, showcasing the depth of talent within Bucknell's track and field program as they prepare for the upcoming Patriot League Championships.
