The Wesleyan University women's tennis team concluded its regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in NESCAC play, securing the top seed for the upcoming conference tournament. In a decisive 7-0 victory over Hamilton College, the third-ranked Cardinals improved their overall season record to 15-2, showcasing their dominance in the league.
In track and field, both the men's and women's teams competed at the NESCAC Championship hosted by Williams College. The men's team placed seventh, highlighted by Steve Paul's impressive performance. Paul won both the 100m and 200m events, breaking his own school record in the 100m with a time of 10.57 seconds during the preliminaries before clocking in at 10.59 seconds in the finals. His victory marks the first time a Wesleyan male athlete has won an event at the NESCAC Championship since 2015. The women's team finished 11th, with standout performances from Juliette Sullivan, who placed fifth in the 200m dash, and Kaitlyn Connors, who secured sixth in the 5000m.
In baseball, Wesleyan split a doubleheader against Vassar College, losing the series 2-1. The Cardinals won the first game 2-0, thanks to strong pitching from Shamus Kelly, who struck out one batter over four innings. Kato Mangum led the offense, scoring both runs in the opening game. However, Wesleyan fell 8-5 in the second game, unable to capitalize on early scoring opportunities.
The men's golf team finished ninth at the NESCAC Championship, hosted at Fox Hopyard Golf Course. Gavin Sendar led the Cardinals with a tie for 33rd place, carding a total of 240 over three rounds. The team improved its score each day of the tournament, showcasing resilience despite a challenging field.
In softball, Wesleyan faced Williams in a doubleheader, splitting the two games. After losing the first game 3-0, the Cardinals bounced back to win the second game 2-0, led by a strong pitching performance from Ella DeCrescenzo, who secured the shutout. The split keeps Wesleyan in contention as the regular season approaches its conclusion.
