The Trinity College women's lacrosse team clinched a spot in the NESCAC Tournament with two crucial victories, highlighted by senior Alex Lesko's exceptional play. Lesko was named NESCAC Player of the Week after scoring seven points, including five goals and two assists, in wins over fifth-ranked Amherst. She contributed to a 10-7 victory that secured home-field advantage in the tournament, and followed that with two goals in a narrow 9-8 quarterfinal win. The Bantams will face top-ranked Middlebury in the NESCAC semifinals on Saturday, May 2.
In track and field, both the men's and women's teams competed at the NESCAC Championships held at Williams College, with each team achieving notable results. The women's team finished eighth overall, highlighted by All-NESCAC performances from Najjar and Bilodeau, who each secured top finishes in their events. The men's team also had a strong showing, logging seven top-10 finishes, including two All-Conference honors. These performances reflect the depth and competitiveness of Trinity's track and field programs within the conference.
The Trinity softball team concluded its home season with a doubleheader sweep against the University of Hartford, showcasing a dramatic flair. First-year shortstop Katie Ruffer delivered back-to-back walk-off hits, leading the Bantams to an 8-0 victory in game one and a thrilling finish in game two. Earlier in the week, the Bantams split a doubleheader with Colby College, winning the second game 4-3 after a late rally. Senior Abby Alper's standout performance throughout the week earned her NESCAC Player of the Week honors, as she contributed significantly to the team's success with multiple hits and runs. The Bantams now hold a 20-12 record and will look to continue their momentum in upcoming games.
