The Williams College men's rowing team competed at Lake Quinsigamond against Tufts, Marietta, and WPI on April 19, where they showcased competitive spirit despite challenging conditions. The first varsity eight finished second to Tufts with a time of 6:02.46, while the second varsity eight claimed victory in 6:07.28. The third varsity eight narrowly lost to Tufts, finishing just behind in 6:17.82. The Ephs also participated in the men's four, securing third place. Earlier in the week, the women's crew team dominated the Little Three Championship, winning both the first and third varsity eight races against Wesleyan and Trinity on April 18. Coxswain Ariana Oppenheimer led the first varsity eight to a strong performance, overcoming early deficits to secure victory.
In baseball, the Ephs split a doubleheader against Amherst on April 18, losing the first game 7-1 before bouncing back to win the second 6-3. Despite a tough start to the series, Williams showed resilience, with Quinn Carlesimo contributing significantly in the second game. However, the team fell to Amherst in the series opener on April 17, suffering a 24-7 defeat that highlighted defensive struggles. Overall, Williams now stands at 9-17 and 3-6 in NESCAC play.
Softball faced a challenging weekend, dropping two games to No. 14 Colby on April 18. First-year Miya Fujimoto stood out with a combined 4-for-7 performance, but the Ephs lost 5-2 and 1-0, leaving them with a record of 17-12 and 7-3 in the conference. Earlier in the week, the team split a doubleheader against RPI, winning the first game 2-1 in 10 innings, thanks to a game-winning hit from Haley Barrett, but losing the second game by the same score.
Men's lacrosse suffered a setback on Senior Day, falling 17-9 to No. 8 Wesleyan, while women's lacrosse lost 11-3 at Wesleyan, dropping to 9-5 overall. The Ephs continue to navigate a challenging NESCAC schedule as the season progresses.
