The Hamilton College men's lacrosse team faced a challenging end to its regular season, falling 18-10 to No. 1 Tufts University on April 18. Despite a competitive effort, the Continentals were unable to maintain momentum after trailing closely at 9-8 midway through the third quarter. Tufts, which has now extended its win streak to 42 games, pulled away with six consecutive goals in the fourth quarter. Hamilton finishes the regular season with an 8-6 overall record and a 5-5 mark in NESCAC play, placing seventh in the conference standings. The team is currently 16th in the NCAA Power Index and receiving votes in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III Top 20 poll.
In baseball, Hamilton split a doubleheader against Bowdoin College on April 17 and 18, securing a narrow 7-6 victory in game one before dropping the second game in extra innings. In the first match, the Continentals rallied from a 5-1 deficit, scoring six runs in the seventh inning to claim the win. The following day, Hamilton also showcased its offensive strength in game one, scoring 16 runs in a commanding 16-4 victory, but fell 5-0 in the nightcap. The Continentals' record now stands at 12-14 overall and 5-4 in the NESCAC West Division.
Hamilton's men's golf team placed third at the Bethpage Black Invitational on April 16, finishing ahead of four other teams. Ramon Aroca Gonzalez and Wyatt Lupo led the Continentals, both tying for fifth place with a score of 76. This performance marks a strong showing for the team, which continues its season at the Farmingdale State Spring Invitational at the Bethpage Red course next week. The competition at Bethpage is notable, having hosted prestigious events like the Ryder Cup and U.S. Open in the past.
