At the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's track & field championships held on April 26, graduate student Skyler Mott and first-year Cameron Mehallo delivered standout performances for Babson College. Mott captured the high jump title, while Mehallo took first place in the 400-meter hurdles, contributing significantly to the team's fourth-place finish overall at the Coast Guard Academy's Nitchman Track.
In women's lacrosse, Babson College concluded its regular season with a decisive 13-9 victory over Wheaton College on April 23. Sophomore Courtney Laden led the Beavers with four goals in the first half, while senior Lilly Bedard and first-year Grace Rooney each contributed three goals. This win set the stage for Babson's upcoming matchup against Smith College in the NEWMAC quarterfinals on April 29. Historically, Babson has dominated the series against Smith, winning 23 consecutive games since 2001, and will look to extend that streak in the postseason.
As Babson prepares for the lacrosse quarterfinals, the men's track team will reflect on their strong performance at the NEWMAC championships, showcasing the depth and talent within the program as they move forward into the spring season.
