Peter Lichtenberger of the Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team broke the program record in pole vault at the Gary Wieneke Memorial meet on May 3. This achievement not only secured him a runner-up finish but also marked the third best mark in Division III this spring. In softball, the No. 4 Bears split a doubleheader against Central on May 2 in their regular-season home finale. After losing the first game 4-1, where first-year Emmy May scored WashU's only run, the Bears rebounded to win the second game 3-2. Key contributions came from senior Alexa Hanish, who had a standout performance, and junior Julia Nicholus, who played a crucial role in the victory.
