Senior captain Davis Hanson earned Player of the Week honors, highlighted by a two-home-run game that helped propel Yale to a decisive victory over the Big Green. Freshman Nick West was recognized as Rookie of the Week after contributing four shutout innings in a win against Iona. The Bulldogs will now host the Ivy League Tournament at George H.W. Bush '48 Field, aiming for further success in postseason play.
In men's lacrosse, the No. 11 Bulldogs faced a tough challenge in the NCAA Tournament, falling 16-15 to No. 8 Syracuse in a tightly contested first-round matchup. Yale initially took an 8-6 lead into halftime after a strong second quarter, but Syracuse responded with a dominant third quarter, scoring seven goals. Despite a late rally from Yale, which included three goals in the final minutes, the Bulldogs could not overcome the deficit. The season concludes for Yale with a 9-6 record, while Syracuse advances to the quarterfinals.
The Yale women's tennis team also had notable achievements, as four players—Shyla Aggarwal, Erin Ha, Orly Ogilvy, and Julia Werdiger—earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators. Aggarwal, who finished the spring with a 13-1 record, played a key role in clinching the Ivy League title, while Ha, the team captain, posted a 17-3 overall record. The men's tennis team saw similar recognition, with Jim Ji, Edward Liao, Eric Li, and Jason Shuler receiving Academic All-District honors. Liao, a Second Team All-Ivy honoree, led the team with a 16-7 record this spring, primarily competing at the No. 2 singles position.
