In a commanding performance, the Bucknell baseball team opened its Patriot League semifinal series against Navy with a 16-4 victory on May 10, 2026. The Bison's offensive outburst marked their highest run total in a Patriot League playoff game since 2003. Junior Jake Schultz delivered a quality start, allowing just three runs over six innings, while Tyler Hawkins earned his first career save with three scoreless innings. Zach Selfon led the charge with four RBIs, supported by Ty Lagoni and Michael Chiaravallo, who each contributed three RBIs. The Bison will continue the series with game two scheduled for May 11 at 1:05 p.m. at Depew Field.
In women's tennis, senior Abby Platt has been recognized for her academic and athletic achievements, earning a spot on the 2026 Women's Tennis Patriot League Academic All-League Team. Platt concluded her collegiate career ranked 15th in career singles wins and 6th in doubles wins at Bucknell. She also received First Team All-Patriot League honors this season, finishing with an 8-9 record in No. 1 singles and an 11-5 mark in No. 1 doubles with partner Riley Jennings. On the men's side, Amar Tahirovic was named the Patriot League Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year, becoming the first player in program history to achieve this honor. He and teammate Adam Stavrakas were also selected for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, further highlighting their dual success in athletics and academics.
