Ananya Sriniketh and Celestina Cedillo-Vayson de Pradenne overcame a 5-1 deficit to clinch the doubles point, while Rebecca Kong and Leah Baroudi quickly added singles victories to seal the match. Earlier in the tournament, the Athenas defeated Whitman 4-0 in the second round, showcasing their dominance at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
In men's tennis, the Stags also advanced to the NCAA Championships, defeating East Texas Baptist 4-0 in the opening round on May 9. They followed with a 4-0 win over Sewanee in the regional finals, propelling them to the national stage. Seniors Advik Mareedu and Warren Pham, along with sophomore Caleb Settles, will represent the team in the NCAA Individual Championships later this month.
The CMS baseball team faced a challenging SCIAC Tournament, finishing as runner-up after a hard-fought 10-8 loss to Pomona-Pitzer in the finals on May 10. Alex Henderson's impressive performance included two home runs in the championship game, following a standout display in an earlier elimination match where he hit two homers in a 15-2 win over La Verne. Despite their efforts, the Stags were unable to secure the title after a narrow defeat.
In women's lacrosse, the Athenas reached the NCAA Regional Finals but fell to Pomona-Pitzer 14-13 in a dramatic finish on May 10. Taylor Glanville scored the decisive goal for Pomona-Pitzer just as time expired, ending CMS's postseason run. Prior to that, the Athenas secured a strong 20-10 victory over Whitman in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, with Amelia Ulmer scoring six goals.
In track and field, the Franson Last Chance Meet brought notable performances from both the men's and women's teams. Ellis DelVecchio set a personal record in the 800 meters and contributed to a season-best time in the 4x400 relay.
