The Wesleyan men's lacrosse team secured a spot in the NCAA Quarterfinals with a 14-10 victory over Williams on May 11. The Cardinals, ranked No. 12, benefited from a late 5-0 run to clinch the win, marking their first advancement to the quarterfinals since 2018. Wesleyan controlled the early game, building a 3-0 lead in the first quarter with goals from Matt Morrow, Ben Burns, and James Bailey. The Cardinals will face a formidable opponent in the next round as they continue their postseason journey. Additionally, four players received All-American honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine: Charlie Wilmot and Joe Hurton were named to the Third Team, while Will Miller and James Bailey earned Honorable Mentions.
The No. 2 Wesleyan women's lacrosse team also advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals, dominating Cortland 18-3 in the Second Round on May 11. The Cardinals showcased their offensive prowess with three separate 6-0 scoring runs, led by Dylan Green, who opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the match. The victory marks Wesleyan's seventh consecutive trip to the Sweet 16, and they will host the next rounds at Smith Field. Izzy Weintraub and Lindsey Diomede were named First Team All-Americans, while Dylan Green earned a Third Team selection, highlighting their exceptional seasons.
In softball, seniors Molly Lennon and Rebecca Cassel-Siskind received All-NESCAC honors, with Lennon earning First Team recognition for the second consecutive year. Lennon had a standout season, leading the NESCAC in slugging percentage and setting a program record with nine home runs. Cassel-Siskind's consistent performance earned her a place on the Second Team for the second year running. Both players have been instrumental in the Cardinals' success this season.
On the golf course, Amanda Phillips qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship and was named to the All-NESCAC First Team for the second straight year. Phillips, who is ranked No. 35 nationally, continues to excel in her sophomore season, marking her as one of the top individual competitors in the conference.
The Wesleyan women's tennis team advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals after a hard-fought 4-2 victory over No. 16 Amherst on May 11. This marks the eighth consecutive year the Cardinals have reached this stage, and they will face No. 14 Washington & Lee in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The team has shown resilience throughout the tournament, having previously defeated Amherst in the NESCAC semifinals.
The Wesleyan women's rowing team competed at the National Invitational Rowing Championship, where the 2nd Varsity 8 placed third overall, earning a spot in the grand final. The Varsity 8 finished as runner-up in the petite final, while the 3rd Varsity 8 won their petite final, securing seventh place overall. The Cardinals await the NCAA Selection Show to see if they will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
