The Yale men's squash team experienced a challenging week, falling to No. 1 Penn 5-3 in the semifinals of the inaugural Ivy League Tournament held in Princeton, New Jersey. Despite the defeat, the Bulldogs showcased their competitive spirit against one of the nation’s top teams. The week was not without recognition, as seven members of the Yale squash teams earned All-Ivy honors, with Tad Carney and Heng Wai Wong making the first team. Spring Ma, Arav Bhagwati, Lachlan Sutton, and Rohan Arya Gondi were named to the second team, while Whitney Taylor and Carney received Academic All-Ivy accolades.
In the pool, the Yale women's swimming and diving team concluded the Ivy League Championships in Providence with standout performances, highlighted by bronze medals from Jessey Li and Devyn Sargent on the final day. Their achievements contributed to a strong overall showing for the Bulldogs at the championship, underscoring their competitive depth.
The Yale men's hockey team faced a setback on the road, losing 5-2 to St. Lawrence University. This defeat brings the Bulldogs' record to 8-19-1 overall and 7-12-1 in ECAC Hockey, as they continue to seek improvement in the final stretch of the season.
Meanwhile, the Yale women's basketball team looks ahead to a pivotal matchup against Penn, scheduled for Saturday. The Bulldogs are aiming to build on their recent offensive momentum after a convincing 82-54 victory over Dartmouth, which marked their second-highest point total of the season.
Lastly, the Yale men's golf team concluded their participation in The Prestige Invitational, with the final round suspended due to high winds. The Bulldogs will look to regroup and prepare for their next competition as the spring season progresses.
