Caleb Williams, a sophomore guard for the Lafayette Leopards, has been named to the Third Team All-Patriot League for the 2025-26 season. Averaging 15.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, Williams has been a consistent offensive force, scoring in double figures in nearly every game this winter. His standout performances included multiple games with over 20 points, showcasing his ability to contribute significantly against tough opponents.
The Leopards' season came to an end in the first round of the Patriot League Championship on March 3, where they faced Holy Cross at Kirby Sports Center. Despite a strong effort, Lafayette fell 82-77. Williams led the team with 16 points, while junior Mark Butler added 15 points and a career-high 10 assists. The Leopards started strong, leading 15-14 midway through the first half, but were ultimately unable to overcome Holy Cross's perfect free throw shooting, finishing 18-of-18 from the line. Lafayette's regular season concluded on February 28 with a victory over Army, where Butler scored a career-high 21 points.
In addition to team accolades, Butler earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Men's Basketball Team, reflecting his impressive 3.68 assist-to-turnover ratio and commitment to community service. He joins the ranks of student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom, underscoring Lafayette's commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
