Hamilton College's men's swimming and diving team concluded the 2026 NESCAC Championships with a sixth-place finish, marking its best performance since 2010. Competing at Colby College, the Continentals amassed 800.5 points over the four-day event. Notably, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Nathaniel Taft, Alex Vasquez, Loui Chambon, and Steven Roche set a new team record with a time of 3:00.18, achieving an NCAA 'B' cut in the process. This relay surpassed the previous record of 3:00.66 set at last year's championships. Additionally, Calvin Weller and Taft each broke individual records in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events, respectively, further highlighting the team's strong showing.
In women's squash, the Continentals enjoyed a successful weekend in Pennsylvania, winning both of their matches. Hamilton (8-9) secured an 8-1 victory over Haverford College on Saturday, February 21, before edging Franklin & Marshall College 5-4 on Sunday. Sydney Hellinger led the way with two wins, including a comeback victory against Franklin & Marshall after being down two games. Chiara Nadel also contributed with two victories, marking her tenth career win at Hamilton, while Lily Spencer added two wins at the fourth position.
The men's squash team faced a mixed weekend, splitting their matches in Pennsylvania. The Continentals (9-10) defeated Haverford 8-1 on Saturday but fell to Franklin & Marshall by the same score on Sunday. William Gianopulos continued his strong season, winning both of his matches and extending his win streak to seven, while Jacob Shulman and Atreyus Bhavsar also recorded wins against Haverford.
In women's hockey, Hamilton concluded its regular season with a 3-0 loss to Amherst College on February 22. The Continentals (11-8-5, 7-6-3 NESCAC) finished fifth in the conference standings. Despite the defeat, Hamilton received votes in the latest USCHO.com Division III Top 25 poll, indicating a solid season overall. The team will now prepare for the upcoming NESCAC playoffs, where they will look to build on their regular-season performance.
