Bucknell's men's basketball team secured a spot in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals with a 65-55 victory over Army West Point on March 3. The Bison, seeded eighth, faced a challenging path, but the win allowed them to advance to play top-seeded Navy on March 5 in Annapolis. Senior Achile Spadone, who has been a key player throughout the season, was recently named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, boasting a 3.92 GPA while averaging 12.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Freshman Amon Dörries also received accolades, earning Second Team All-Patriot League and All-Rookie honors after averaging a team-high 16.1 points per game this season.
In swimming and diving, the women's team finished second at the ECAC Championships, highlighted by standout performances from Jennifer Bolden, who won gold in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.55, marking the third-fastest time in Bucknell history. The women also triumphed in the 400 freestyle relay. Meanwhile, the men's team placed fifth, with Avery Kuhn leading the way in the 200 backstroke final. Bucknell's swimming and diving teams demonstrated strong performances throughout the championships, with both squads showcasing depth and talent.
Looking ahead, the men's basketball team will face Navy in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament, while the swimming and diving teams will regroup for future competitions as they conclude their season.
