Lehigh University's swimming and diving teams wrapped up their season at the ECAC Championships held at Bucknell University from February 26 to March 1. Junior swimmer Emma Shuff had a notable performance, beginning with an eighth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle on the first day, earning 11 points for the Mountain Hawks. On day two, she advanced to the B Final of the 200-yard freestyle, where she placed third with a personal record time of 1:53.00, scoring an additional six points. Shuff capped her weekend with a runner-up finish in the 1650-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 17:24.20 and contributing 17 points to the team total. On the men's side, first-year swimmer Ryan McAuley also excelled, finishing sixth in the 1650-yard final with a time of 15:58.05. Additionally, junior swimmer Tyler McLellan secured points in the 200-yard backstroke, placing 10th with a time of 1:52.40.
Earlier in the week, the Patriot League announced the 2026 Swimming and Diving All-Academic Teams, recognizing Lehigh's own seniors, Anna Deitch and Ludwig, along with junior Deppe. This marks the first All-Academic selection for Deitch, who has been a consistent performer both in the pool and academically, completing her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. She scored 64 individual points at the Patriot League Championships and contributed to several relay events, including a fourth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The recognition highlights the balance of academic and athletic excellence that Lehigh promotes among its student-athletes.
