The Babson College men's ice hockey team, currently ranked No. 13, is set to host Plymouth State in the semifinal of the inaugural Little East Conference tournament on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Beavers finished as the runner-up in the regular season standings and will look to capitalize on home ice advantage at the Babson Skating Center. This matchup is pivotal as Babson aims to secure a place in the championship game.
In women's basketball, the Beavers are preparing to face Coast Guard in the NEWMAC quarterfinals on Wednesday. Babson has a storied history against the Bears, boasting a 40-12 all-time record. However, the Beavers are looking to avenge recent losses, having dropped two consecutive games to Coast Guard after a dominant 11-game winning streak in the series from 2015 to 2024. The Beavers will rely on their strong home performance, having won four of their last five games against Coast Guard at Staake Gymnasium.
In addition to team competitions, junior diver David Krol is set to represent Babson at the NCAA Division III Region 3 North/Northeast Diving Championships this weekend in New London, Connecticut. Krol, who has qualified for the regionals for three consecutive years, is the first male diver from Babson to compete in NCAA post-season diving since 2010, marking a significant achievement for the program. Meanwhile, Babson Athletics has partnered with the Babson Food & Beverage Business Lab to launch the Dam Strong Nutrition fueling station, aimed at supporting student-athletes during a six-week pilot program.
