The Colby College Men's Basketball team concluded its season with a 99–84 loss to Tufts University in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on February 22. Despite a strong offensive performance, the Mules were unable to overcome the #11 nationally ranked Jumbos. Under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Sean Rutigliano, Colby finished the season with a 16-9 overall record, marking their sixth tournament appearance in the last seven years.
In men's ice hockey, the Mules had a mixed final weekend of competition. On February 21, Colby secured a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against Tufts University, marking their second win over the Jumbos this season. The Mules demonstrated resilience, fighting back to equalize after regulation before clinching the win in the extra period. However, the following day, they faced a setback against Connecticut College, losing 5-2 in their season finale. Colby concluded the season with a record of 10-12-2 overall and 6-11-1 in the NESCAC, reflecting a challenging campaign under new coaching leadership. The team will look to regroup and build for next season after a year of growth and development.
