Harvard's men's hockey team has advanced to the ECAC Quarterfinals after a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory against St. Lawrence. The Crimson, who never led during regulation, managed to tie the game three times before Mick Thompson scored the decisive goal with just 1:40 left in the first overtime period. Thompson's performance, which included a goal and an assist, earned him the ECAC Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors, while teammate Heikki Ruohonen was recognized as the ECAC Rookie of the Week for his pivotal contributions in the game. The sixth-seeded Crimson will face off against third-seeded Cornell in a best-of-three series starting Friday night in Ithaca, New York.
In swimming and diving, Harvard's women’s team saw Samantha Holtz and Ennika Carlson compete in the finals of the three-meter event at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Annapolis, Maryland. Holtz finished 12th with a total score of 544.45, while Carlson placed 15th with 530.40 points. Both divers advanced to the finals after strong preliminary performances. On the men's side, Raphael Tourette also competed at the NCAA Zone A Championships, finishing 16th in the one-meter diving event after securing a spot in the finals with a preliminary score of 302.05. The men's team awaits the NCAA's announcement regarding invitations for the national meet, scheduled for March 25-28 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Meanwhile, the men's golf team has announced its spring tournament schedule, set to begin with the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate Tournament from March 27-29 in Snow Hill, North Carolina. The Crimson will also participate in the Princeton Invitational on April 11-12 and the Ivy League Men's Golf Championship from April 24-26 at Baltusrol Golf Club, aiming to improve upon last season's third-place finish.
