Harvard men's basketball concluded its season with a strong showing in the Ivy League Tournament, where sophomore guard Ben Eisendrath earned All-Tournament Team honors. In the semifinals against Penn, Eisendrath matched his career high with 15 points, contributing six rebounds and six assists in a decisive performance. Despite this effort, the Crimson fell short in the championship game against Princeton, losing 63-53. The team finished the season with a 17-12 overall record and a second-place finish in the Ivy League, marking its best standing since the 2019-20 season.
In men's hockey, the Crimson faced a challenging ECAC quarterfinal series against No. 9 Cornell. After winning the first game 3-1, thanks to two goals from Ben MacDonald and one from Michael Callow, Harvard was shut out 4-0 in Game Two. The series now heads to a decisive Game Three, scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The winner will advance to Lake Placid, aiming for their first appearance since the 2022-23 season.
The women's basketball team had a dramatic week, defeating Columbia 67-65 in overtime in the Ivy League semifinals, with Abigail Wright leading the team with 18 points. However, they were unable to secure the championship title, falling to Princeton in the final. Karlee White and Olivia Jones each contributed significantly in the championship game, but the Crimson could not overcome the Tigers’ early lead.
The women's golf team opened its spring season at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, competing against a strong field in Austin, Texas. The tournament, which runs from March 15-17, marks the beginning of a four-event spring schedule for the Crimson, following a successful fall season.
Finally, senior wrestler Jimmy Harrington has earned the No. 20 seed in the 157-pound weight class for the NCAA Championships, set to take place from March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio. Harrington, a two-time NCAA qualifier, will face No. 13 seed Derek Raike in his opening match, continuing his pursuit of a national title after a strong season that included 21 wins and multiple accolades for his performance both on the mat and in the classroom.
