This marks Harvard's first appearance in the WBIT and the 18th postseason appearance in program history.
In men's basketball, sophomore guard Robert Hinton received First Team NABC All-District honors, following a standout season where he averaged 16.8 points per game and was a unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection. Hinton's performance included 24 games scoring in double figures and nine games with at least 20 points, solidifying his position as a key player for the Crimson.
The Harvard men's hockey team concluded its season with a 5-2 loss to No. 9 Cornell in the ECAC quarterfinals. The Crimson fought hard but ultimately fell short, with William Hughes scoring to narrow the gap in the third period before Cornell sealed the game with two empty-net goals. This defeat marks the end of a challenging season for Harvard hockey.
In wrestling, senior Jimmy Harrington is preparing to compete at the NCAA Championships, which take place from March 19 to 21 in Cleveland, Ohio. Harrington will compete in the 157-pound bracket, looking to make a significant impact at this prestigious event. His performance will be broadcasted across multiple ESPN platforms, providing a national stage for his efforts.
Meanwhile, the Harvard women's golf team faced tough conditions at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, finishing 14th in a field of 16 teams. The team battled harsh weather, with scores affected by low temperatures and high winds. Despite the challenges, the Crimson gained valuable experience in their first appearance at this competitive tournament.
Lastly, the Harvard women's swimming and diving team is set to compete at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta from March 18 to 22. The team will be represented by four athletes, including Anya Mostek and Alexandra Bastone, who will compete in various events.
