Harvard women's basketball continues its postseason journey, advancing to the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBIT) quarterfinals following a commanding 63-34 victory over Eastern Kentucky on March 23. This win marks the Crimson's 20th of the season, a notable achievement as it represents the 15th time in program history that Harvard has reached the 20-win milestone. Under the guidance of head coach Carrie Moore, the team has now secured three postseason appearances in four years. In the win against Eastern Kentucky, four players scored in double figures, with Katie Krupa leading the way with 15 points in her final game at Lavietes Pavilion. Harvard dominated early, establishing a 19-2 lead by the end of the first quarter, and will face Wisconsin in the WBIT quarterfinals on March 26.
In men's basketball, Harvard freshman Avner Dror has made headlines for his unique background and talents beyond the court. Standing 6-foot-9, Dror, who hails from Kfar-Hess, Israel, has joined the Crimson after playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Club. His diverse interests, including music and screenwriting, caught the attention of head coach Tommy Amaker, who emphasizes a holistic approach to player development. Additionally, four members of the men's basketball team—Chandler Piggé, Xavier Nesbitt, Ben Eisendrath, and Robert Hinton—earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, highlighting their academic and athletic achievements.
On the swimming and diving front, two Harvard athletes, first-year William Mulgrew and sophomore Adriano Arioti, are set to compete at the NCAA Championships from March 25 to March 28 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mulgrew will swim in the 1,650 and 500 freestyle events, entering with the third-best time in the country for the 1,650 freestyle at 14:26.79. Arioti, who won the Ivy title in the 200 backstroke, will also compete in the 100 back and 200 individual medley events, showcasing Harvard's strong presence in collegiate swimming this season.
