Case Western Reserve University celebrates the academic accomplishments of its basketball programs this week, as seven players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. For the men's team, junior forward Logan Brown, senior guard Anand Dharmarajan, and senior forward Andrew Fox received the honors. This marks Dharmarajan's second consecutive selection, while Brown and Fox earned their first recognition. Brown played a significant role in his first season at CWRU, starting 20 of 21 games and averaging 5.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. On the women's side, junior guards Jordyn Call and Mya Hartjes, senior guard/forward Emily Plachta, and junior forward Biz Watson were recognized for their academic and athletic success. Hartjes and Plachta also advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with selections to be announced on April 15. Call participated in all 25 games this season, contributing significantly to the Spartans' efforts.
In addition to the academic honors, the Spartan Club named senior swimmers John Drumm and Claire Kozma as Athletes of the Week. Drumm had a standout performance at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, earning three All-America honors, including a First Team selection. His best finish came in the 200 Fly, where he placed seventh with a time of 1:48.68. Kozma's achievements were also highlighted, although specific details of her performances were not provided. These recognitions reflect the commitment of CWRU athletes to excel both in their sports and in the classroom.
