Hamilton College's men's hockey team made history this week by reaching the NCAA Division III Championship final for the first time in program history. The Continentals secured their spot with a decisive 6-3 victory over Aurora University in the semifinals on March 27. Justin Biraben and Noah Leibl each contributed two goals to the win, showcasing a strong offensive performance that propelled Hamilton to the championship game against Hobart College on March 29. This marks the first time since 2010 that a Hamilton team has reached a national final, a significant achievement for the program. As they prepare for the final, Hamilton holds a record of 22-5-2, while Hobart remains undefeated at 30-0-0.
In women's swimming and diving, four athletes from Hamilton earned All-America honors following their performances at the NCAA Division III Championships held from March 18 to March 21. Chloe Lan, Jade Matthias, Carolyn Miner, and Paige Wielgus were recognized for their contributions to the 200-yard freestyle relay, which finished in the top 16 at the championships. The relay team achieved a record-setting time of 1:33.65 in the preliminary heats, ultimately placing eighth in the consolation final. Matthias, who has now earned four All-America awards, and Miner and Lan, who have each received two, continue to highlight the strength of Hamilton's swimming program on the national stage.
