At the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell, sophomore Kendall Collier shattered a long-standing school record in the 10,000 meters, clocking in at 35:12.08 and surpassing the previous mark set by Renee Robins in 1988. Collier finished eighth overall in the event, marking a significant achievement for the Lafayette track and field program. Freshmen Hazel Calway and Maeve McNamee also made their marks, ranking seventh and ninth all-time at Lafayette in the 3000-meter steeplechase with times of 11:17.75 and 11:18.84, respectively. Junior Bridget Shaver secured a fifth-place finish in the 5000 meters (17:49.53), while freshman Zoe Cimo placed 10th in the 1500 meters (4:41.94). On the men's side, senior Quinn Worrell earned a spot at No. 4 all-time in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:50.02, while senior Justin Brown and classmate Cole Chukoskie achieved No. 5 and No. 8 all-time in the 5000 meters with times of 14:40.74 and 14:44.23, respectively.
In lacrosse, the Lafayette men's team faced a challenging matchup against No. 20 Loyola on Community Youth Day, ultimately falling 16-7 at Fisher Stadium. Sophomore Benjamin DiBattista scored three goals, marking his seventh hat trick of the season and bringing his total to 36 goals, ranking him third in the Patriot League. The Leopards struggled to keep pace with Loyola, who surged ahead early and maintained control throughout the game. Meanwhile, the women's lacrosse team was defeated by Bucknell, 15-8. Senior attacker Kristin Igneri led Lafayette with three points, contributing one goal and two assists. The Leopards fought to stay competitive but were unable to overcome Bucknell's offensive efforts, which included a standout performance from Megan Krestinski, who tallied five points for the Bison. Both lacrosse teams will look to regroup as they continue their seasons in the coming weeks.
