The Trinity College Men's Lacrosse team faced a challenging matchup against the second-ranked Bowdoin College on April 6, ultimately falling 9-8. Trinity's Davis Ike and Matt Shepard combined for 21 saves, but the team could not convert late-game opportunities, dropping their record to 5-6 overall and 1-5 in NESCAC play. The Bantams will look to rebound in their next game against crosstown rival Wesleyan University on April 10, where they aim to avenge last year's loss.
In women's golf, the Bantams placed fifth at the University of Hartford Spring Invitational held on April 7 at Blackledge Country Club. Competing against five other teams, Trinity's performance was highlighted by a strong showing from sophomore Aidan Monahan, who led the Bantams' B team to a second-place standing after day one of the UHart/Trinity Invitational. Monahan finished the tournament with a score of 67, contributing to the team's overall score of 282. The Trinity A team finished in fifth place with a total of 22 over for the weekend.
The Trinity College Women's Track and Field team excelled at the Springfield College Classic on April 6, achieving five first-place finishes among 28 top ten placements. This performance underscores the team's depth and competitive spirit as they continue to build momentum in the outdoor season.
