Babson College's men's ice hockey team received significant recognition from the New England Hockey Writers Association, with Head Coach Jamie Rice earning the Co-Coach of the Year award. Senior Charlie Andriole and junior Jimmy Fallon were also honored, both being named to the all-star team. These accolades reflect the team's strong performance throughout the season, showcasing their competitive spirit in Division II-III hockey.
In women's golf, the 22nd-ranked Babson team finished fourth at the Hartford Invitational held at the Gilead Highlands Course on April 5. First-year Vanya Bansal stood out by tying for third place with a score of 4-over 76. This event marked Babson's only one-day competition of the season, and the team demonstrated resilience against a competitive field. The performance at Hartford is a promising sign as the Beavers look to build momentum in the upcoming tournaments.
Additionally, Babson College's athletic department continues to excel in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, ranking 47th nationally among over 425 Division III institutions. This ranking reflects the overall success of Babson athletics across various sports during the winter season, further solidifying the institution's commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.
