In swimming and diving, four women from the Case Western Reserve University team have earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Seniors Eliza Dixon and Claire Kozma, junior Sheila Monera Cabarique, and sophomore Marina Oria were recognized for their academic achievements, each holding a cumulative GPA above 3.50. Dixon, who has previously earned All-America honors, contributed to the Spartans' 13th-place finish in the 200 Free Relay at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships, while also competing in multiple events throughout the meet.
The men's swimming and diving team also celebrated four Academic All-District selections, including seniors Mason Bencurik, Ben Borvendeg, John Drumm, and William Froass. Drumm will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, while Bencurik made his mark at the 2026 NCAA Championships, competing in the 400 Free Relay and the 200 Free. His efforts helped the Spartans set program records in both the 400 Free Relay and the 800 Free Relay earlier in the season. Both swimming teams continue to demonstrate a strong balance of academic and athletic prowess as they look ahead to future competitions.
