The University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament with an 8-7 overtime victory against Cornell on April 18. Catherine Berkery scored the decisive goal less than two minutes into the extra period, leading the Quakers to a 5-1 Ivy League record. Berkery contributed significantly with three goals and two assists, while Eden Welch added two goals. Goalkeeper Orly Sedransk made 11 saves, and Maggie Bankowski excelled at the draw, securing eight draw controls. With this victory, Penn secured the #2 seed in the Ivy League Tournament and will face #3 Princeton in the semifinals hosted at Yale.
In men's lacrosse, the 20th-ranked Quakers also kept their postseason hopes alive with a narrow 12-11 double-overtime win against Brown on April 18. Nate Lucchesi scored the game-winner with just over two minutes remaining in the second extra session, while Jack Pelot made 14 saves, three of which came in overtime. This victory improved Penn's record to 6-6 overall and 3-3 in Ivy League play, leaving them waiting for results from other games to determine their Ivy Tournament fate.
On the track, the Quakers showcased impressive performances at the Paul Donahue Invitational and the Tom Jones Invitational. Daniella Oyenuga achieved personal-best times in both the women's 100m (11.67) and 200m (23.75), while Annika Topchy won the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.42. Freshman Jessica Oji made headlines by breaking her own Ivy League record in the women's shot put, achieving a mark of 18.31m (60' 1") at the Tom Jones Invitational. Additionally, the men's team saw Simeon Adams sweep the sprint events, clocking personal-best times of 10.43 in the 100m and 21.21 in the 200m.
In squash, seven Quakers earned All-American honors from the College Squash Association, with Omar Hafez and Salman Khalil both named first-team All-Americans for the third consecutive season. Hafez concluded his career as the all-time wins leader at Penn, while Khalil and Marwan Abdelsalam also received first-team recognition, underscoring the strength of the Penn squash program this season.
