In a standout performance at the Hamilton Outdoor Invitational, Emmeline Stoetzel '28 broke the women's track and field team's outdoor long jump record with a leap of 5.36 meters, surpassing the previous mark set in 2010. Stoetzel's record-setting jump came on her final attempt, solidifying her first-place finish. The women's team also excelled in the 4x100-meter relay, qualifying for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships with a time of 49.15 seconds, featuring Mackenzie Loudon '29, Tatiana McCray '28, Mia O'Neill '28, and Marley Meyers '28. McCray also claimed victory in the 100-meter dash with a personal best of 12.40 seconds. Other notable performances included Ruby Austin '29 winning the 400-meter dash and Nora Burroughs '29 taking first in the 800-meter run. The women's track and field team will next compete at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on April 17.
On the men's side, the Hamilton College track and field team dominated the same invitational, winning nine events. Ian Fisher '29 showcased his versatility by winning both the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles, with his 110-meter time of 14.94 seconds marking his best of the season. The 4x100-meter relay team, consisting of Jarren Cotter '29, Slade Crouse '28, Ollie Mylon '29, and Harrison Wortley '29, also qualified for the AARTFC Outdoor Championships with a time of 43.13 seconds. Other standout performances included Jarren Cotter winning the 200-meter dash and Luke Ferraiolo '29 taking the 800-meter run. The men's team will also compete at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on April 17.
In golf, the Hamilton College women's team placed seventh at the Jack Leaman Invitational held at The Orchards Golf Club, with Peyton Sichol '26 and Shanya Arasu '28 both finishing in the top 15. Sichol tied for ninth overall with a score of 152, while Arasu closely followed in 14th with a score of 153. The men's golf team finished sixth at the Tim Brown Invitational at Skidmore College, highlighted by Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26's second-place finish with a score of 142, and Jake Hendelman '28 tying for fourth with a score of 143. Both golf teams will continue their seasons with upcoming tournaments.
