Cornell wrestling has made a significant addition to its coaching staff with the hiring of Yianni Diakomihalis, a four-time NCAA champion and one of the program's most celebrated athletes. Diakomihalis returns to Ithaca after a historic collegiate career, where he achieved a remarkable 28-0 record and earned the Hodge Trophy finalist distinction. Head coach Mike Grey expressed enthusiasm for Diakomihalis's return, noting his extensive knowledge and commitment to the program. As he steps into this new role, Diakomihalis aims to impart his experience and passion to the current team, fostering a competitive environment.
