#22 WLAX Closes Out Regular Season Sunday with Brown

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team evens out the regular season on Sunday, April 26, hosting Brown for a noon Senior Day showdown at Franklin Field.

The Penn vs. Brown Series

*Penn holds the all-time advantage, leading the series 35-9, carrying a 20-game win streak into Sunday's contest.

*The Quakers took last year's battle in New England 11-7, led

Patricia Columbia-Walsh's five points in the win.

*Brown's last win in the series dates back to the 2003 campaign when the Bears won 10-8 in Providence.

*The Red and Blue closed out non-conference action earlier this week, stifling Towson 20-8 at Rhodes Field. The Quakers scored the most goals since the 2023 season, when they topped La Salle 21-1 at Franklin Field.

Catherine Berkery recorded seven points (5G, 2A), senior Columbia-Walsh six (3G, 3A), while

Regan O'Brien tallied five (4G, 1A).

Millie Bartlett,

Avery Le, and

Natasha Yajadda all scored two goals, and Emma Hrizch and

Mary Sack found the back of the net to even out the scorers in the win.

*Junior Berkery has been an offensive force this season, leading Penn with 40 goals and 51 points.

Orly Sedransk has been solid in the cage to open the year, stopping 131 shots, while holding a 10.46 GAA and .468 save percentage.

*Penn was picked to finish second in the Ivy League in the 2026 preseason poll voted on by the media.

*Sophomore Sedransk is pegged to have a strong second year earning Third Team USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Third Team Preseason All-American as well as a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.

*Senior Yajadda has been making a name for herself on the defensive end of the field, leading the Red and Blue with 19 caused turnovers on the year.

*Defender Bankowski has been dominant in the X for the Quakers through, leading the team with 71 draw controls.

Scouting the Bears

*Brown carries a one-game skid into the weekend, falling 11-9 to #24 Princeton last weekend.

*Ruby Sliwkowski leads Bears' offense in assists (21), goals (33), and points (54).

*The Quakers will likely face Mackenzie Conway in the cage on Sunday. The keeper holds a 9.44 goals-against average, a .494 save percentage, and 119 saves on the season.
