An overtime goal less than four minutes into the extra period lifted Quinnipiac, ranked No. 7 in the nation and seeded third in the ECAC Hockey tournament, past the ninth-ranked and second-seeded Princeton women's hockey team 2-1 on Friday night in the semifinal round at the 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.

An overtime goal less than four minutes into the extra period lifted Quinnipiac, ranked No. 7 in the nation and seeded third in the ECAC Hockey tournament, past the ninth-ranked and second-seeded Princeton women's hockey team 2-1 on Friday night in the semifinal round at the 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Quinnipiac opened the scoring after Mia Lopata picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and skated it back into the Princeton defensive end before sending a crossing pass to Taylor Brueske for the finish with 8:22 before the first ice cut.

Princeton outshot the Bobcats 65-51 overall and 31-25 on goal.

Princeton will await the NCAA tournament selection announcement, set for 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and televised on ESPNU.
