Millard Garners All-American Honors; 200 Medley Relay Shatters Team Record on Day One of the NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Noah Millard earned All-American honors in the 1650 freestyle for the second consecutive year, and the 200 medley relay team shattered the school record to highlight a strong first day for the Yale men's swimming and diving team at the NCAA Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

ATLANTA, Ga. – Noah Millard earned All-American honors in the 1650 freestyle for the second consecutive year, and the 200 medley relay team shattered the school record to highlight a strong first day for the Yale men's swimming and diving team at the NCAA Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Millard earned Honorable Mention All-American accolades after placing 16

th in the event, while the 200 medley relay team of

Jake Wang,

Charlie Egeland,

Nick Finch, and

Deniel Nankov delivered a stellar swim, finishing 17

th in a team record time (1:23.16).

The Results

  • 1650 Freestyle: Millard finished 16th with a time of 14:47.47.

  • 200 Medley Relay: The quartet of Wang, Egeland, Finch, and Nankov placed 17th in a team record time of 1:23.16, one place shy of All-American status.

  • 800 Freestyle Relay: The team of Wang, Mak Nurkic Kacapor, Nankov, and Millard touched the wall in a time of 6:15.44.
