The Navy men's golf team closes out the regular season on Monday when it travels to Bridgeport, W.Va. to play in the talent-packed Mountaineer Invitational. Hosted by West Virginia, the two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at the the Pete Dye Golf Club with an 8:15 am shotgun start slated for Monday and an 8:00 am start on Tuesday. This will be the 11th-consecutive Mountaineer Invitational. West Virginia won the team titles in 2024, April 2021, 2019 and 2018. Bowling Green won the event in 2017, Arkansas captured the team title in 2016 and Penn State won the inaugural event in 2015. NC State won in October 2021 and Oklahoma State won the Mountaineer Invitational in 2023 and in 2025.

The 19-team field features five teams ranked among the nation's top 50, including three in the top 10.

In addition to the Mountaineer Invitational, West Virginia will play host to the Bridgeport Collegiate Individual which will be played simultaneously to the Mountaineer Invitational. The 54-hole tournament features individuals from 14 teams (Appalachian State, Ball State, Charleston, Clemson, Fairmont State, James Madison, Miami U., Navy, Villanova, VCU, Wesleyan, Western Kentucky, West Virginia, Wheeling U., Xavier) and will be played at the par-72 Bridgeport Country Club. Wildcat Invitational • April 6-7 / Galloway National Golf Course, Galloway, N.J.

Chip Deegan and

Jack Tarzy placed among the top 10 to lead Navy to a third-place finish at the Wildcat Invitational played. The Mids closed out the 54-hole tournament with a 44-over par 896 (296-297-303), 14 strokes back from Villanova who won the tournament with a 30-over par 882.

• Deegan, who was one of only seven players to play a round under par during the two-day tournament, shot a 1-under par 70 in the final round to finish tied for second alongside Villanova's Ryan Pamer. Deegan tallied the second-most birdies in the tournament with 11 and made eagle in the opening round en route to with a 4-over par 217 (72-75-70). It marked Deegan's fourth top-five finish this year, including his second runner-up finish.

•Tarzy entered the final round just 2 strokes back from the leader, but fell back 5 spots in the final standings following a 6-over par 77 in the final round. He finished the tournament in a three-way tie for eighth with a 10-over par 223. It was Tarzy's fifth top-10 finish this year.

Golden Horeseshoe Intercollegiate • March 23-24 / Golden Horseshoe Golf Course, Williamsburg, Va.

Jack Tarzy turned in a 5-under par 208 to secure a share of individual medalist honors for the fourth time this season, while classmate

Chip Deegan finished a stroke behind in third to lead Navy to a third-place finish at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate. As a team, the Mids shot a 15-over par 867 (282-288-297).

• Tarzy and Deegan were among the leaders from the beginning, as Deegan shot a 5-under par 66 in the opening round to hold the early advantage on the leader board. Tarzy, who was within striking distance of his teammate after posting a 3-under par in the morning round, came back to shoot 3-under in the afternoon and made his way to the top of the leader board. Deegan put forth a terrific effort in the final round with a 3-under par 68 to finish the tournament 4-under, but Tarzy held on for his fourth-collegiate victory. Tarzy, whose 5-under par 208 is tied as the sixth-lowest score in school history, shared individual medalist honors with Villanova's Matt Zerfass.

• The four wins by Tarzy this year are the most by a Navy golfer in a season since Billy Hurley won 6 tournaments his senior year in 2003-04.

• Tarzy's four wins are also the most by a player in DI golf this season.

Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate • March 9-10 / Palmetto Golf Club, Aiken, S.C.

Chip Deegan and

Jack Tarzy finished the 54-hole Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate under par, while leading the Navy men's golf team to a seventh-place finish with an 18-over par 858 (280-276-302) at the Palmetto Golf Club.

• Deegan and Tarzy were in the thick of it throughout the two-day tournament, shuffling amongst the top 11. Deegan started the tournament red hot, turning in a 4-under par 66 in Monday's opening round that featured an eagle on the 14th hole. He closed out the day with a 2-under par in the second round. He came back on the following day to post a 2-over par 72 to finish out the tournament in a tie for fourth place with a 4-under par 206.

• Tarzy also had a strong opening day, turning in a 3-under par 67 in the first round, followed by a 4-under par in the second round. He fell back in the standings on the final day, capping the tournament with a 6-over par 76. Tarzy, however, remained under par for the tournament at -1 (209), just a stroke out of the top eight.

• As a team, Navy shot par (280) in the opening round which was the third-lowest score over the first 18 holes. The Mids finished out the first day in second, as their second-round 4-under par 276 was tied as the lowest round of the afternoon. The Mids finished in a tie for seventh alongside Boise State, the highest-ranked team in the field (#106).

Watersound Invitational • Feb. 16-18 / Panther National, Panama City, Fla.

• Highlighted by 1-over par 281 in the opening round, the Mids completed the 54-hole Watersound Invitational with a 31-over par 871 to place 12th among a field that featured six teams ranked among the top 45 of the CLIPPD national team rankings and four among the top 11.

• For a second-straight year,

Chip Deegan led the Mids at the Watersound Invitational where he shot par (210) en route to placing 29th. He opened with a team-low 3-under par 67, before shooting par in the second round and closing out with a 3-over par 73 in the final round.

Jack Tarzy was just two strokes behind Deegan in 38th (+2 / 212). Tarzy also got off to a strong start in the tournament with a 2-under par 68, followed by par in the second round and a 4-over par 74 over the final 18 holes.

FAU Invitational • Oct. 27-28 / Panther National, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

• Navy shot a 26-over par 602 (298-304) to place 16th at the Florida Atlantic Invitational played at the par-72 Panther National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

• The tournament, Navy's final competition of the fall season, was shortened from 54 to 36 holes after teams were unable to get the first two rounds in on opening day.

Chip Deegan and

Sebastian Alonzo paced the Mids with a 4-over par 148 to tie for 49th. Deegan shot par, Navy's low round of the tournament, over the second 18 holes, while Alonzo finished the opening round with a 1-over par 73.

Nassau Intercollegiate • Oct. 20-21 / Nassau Country Club, Glen Cove, N.Y.

Jack Tarzy shot a 4-under par 66 in the final round of the Nassau Intercollegiate to clinch co-individual medalist honors, while Navy tied host LIU and Iona for eighth.

• Tarzy, who shot a 2-over par 212 (73-73-66), shared individual medalist honors with Utah Valley's Paxton Maxwell (69-73-70).

• Tarzy, who entered the day 6 shots back from the leader, is believed to be the first Navy golfer to earn medalist honors in 3-consecutive tournaments (The Goat, Commander-In-Chief's Cup, Nassau Intercollegiate).

• The three wins by Tarzy this season are the most by a Navy golfer in a season since Billy Hurley won 6 tournaments his senior year in 2003-04.

• He is the first Navy golfer to win 3 tournaments over a career since Charlie Musto won three - 2 in 2017-18 and 1 in 2019-20.

Army - Star Match • Oct. 11-12 / Naval Academy Golf Club, Annapolis, Md.

• Navy won four of the first-five singles match en route to a 6-5 victory over the Black Knights in the annual Army-Navy Star Match played at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis.

Luke Lombardo secured the final point on the 18th green, as the Mids claimed the program's first Star win against their arch rival since 2021.

• Additionally, the win marked the school's 1,200th victory over Army.

Commander-In-Chief's Cup • Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 / Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Jack Tarzy shot a 13-over par 223 to claim individual medalist honors for the second time in as many weeks, while the Mids dominated Army and Air Force to win the program's first outright Commander-In-Chief's Cup.

• Navy (449-459-480=1388, +128), who built a 20-stroke advantage over Army after just 18 holes, defeated the Black Knights (1406, +146) by 18 strokes and Air Force (1411, +151) by 23 strokes.

The Goat • Sept. 20-21 / Naval Academy Golf Club, Annapolis, Md.

• Team captain

Jack Tarzy shot a 3-under par 68 in the final round of The Goat to clinch individual medalist honors for the first time in his career, while Navy, as a team, placed second with an 11-over par 863 (287-291-285).

• It marked the third-lowest 54-hole score in relation to par by the Mids in program history and the lowest since they shot a 2-under par 850 at the Phoenix Invitational Oct. 14-15, 2019.

• Tarzy's 8-under par 205 marked the third-lowest 54-hole score in relation to par in program history and the lowest since Nicholas Klock shot a 13-under par 200 at the Georgetown Intercollegiate Oct. 10-11, 2021.

• Tarzy, who went on to earn Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week laurels, had finished as the runner-up on three occasions, including last year's The Goat when Loyola's Gustavo Rangel bested him by a single stroke.

Jackson T. Stephens Cup • Sept. 15-16 / Shoreacres, Lake Bluff, Ill.

Chip Deegan represented the Naval Academy at the 2025 Jackson T. Stephens Cup where he placed 16th with a par 210 (69-72-69).

• Deegan, who was named the Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance, was the top-finishing service academy player in the tournament and one of seven golfers who received a special invitation to play as an individual in the team-scored event held at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Ill.

• The field included full teams from 10th-ranked LSU, 15th-ranked North Carolina, 22nd-ranked Arizona, along with Northwestern, Texas and SMU. Individuals represented Air Force, Army, Florida A&M, Howard, Livingstone and Navy.

Folds of Honor Collegiate • Sept. 8-10 / American Dunes Golf Club, Grand Haven, Mich.

• Navy opened the 2025 campaign with a 13th-place finish at the fourth-annual Folds of Honor Collegiate played at the par-71 American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich. The Mids shot a 44-over par 896 (300-300-296).

Chip Deegan led the Mids with a 6-over par 219 (72-77-70) to finish 25th.

• The field included 19 teams that were represented at the 2025 NCAA Regionals, eight that advanced to the NCAA Championships, and 13 that ended the Spring ranked in the top 30 in the country.

• Defending Folds of Honor Collegiate champion Alabama made it two in a row, as the Crimson Tide captured the team title by 6 strokes over Notre Dame. Alabama's William Jennings secured individual medalist honors with a 4-under par 209 (71-67-71).
