BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore forward/center Hank Alvey and junior guard Nasir Whitlock have been selected to participate in USA Basketball's 3x3 development camp from April 17-19 in Phoenix, Arizona. Participants will be considered for future USA 3x3 national team and other 3x3 team opportunities.

USA Basketball 3x3 development camps are an opportunity for athletes to hone their skills in a competitive and educational environment. The camp features under-23 men's athletes, including Alvey and Whitlock. The pair will be reunited with Zahir Carrington '10 who serves on the Chairman Athletes Advisory Council with USA Basketball and was instrumental in Hank and Nasir's inclusion.

Alvey improved greatly upon a solid first-year season, averaging 15.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, a league-best 1.8 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game. The Mapleton, Illinois native reached double-figures 23 times, scored 20+ points 13 times, and has posted four double-doubles. The big man posted 23 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in Lehigh's NCAA Tournament loss to Prairie View A&M. Alvey was named to the second team All-Patriot League, Patriot League All-Academic team, and received Patriot League Player of the Week honorable mention twice this season.

Whitlock was stellar all season long, leading the Mountain Hawks to a Patriot League championship on a league-best 20.5 points per game on an efficient 46.6% from the floor and 43.3% from three. The junior captain also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Whitlock scored in double-figures in 33 of 35 games, put up 20+ points 18 times, and was tied for the lead in NCAA Division I basketball with eight 30+ point games. Whitlock was also named Patriot League Tournament MVP, first team All-Patriot League, NABC All-District Second Team, and is a finalist for the Lou Henson Award, given annually to the top mid-major play in all of college basketball.
