#5 Men's Lightweight Rowing Wins Class of 2011 Cup

April 25, 2026 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight

PRINCETON, N.J. – On a day that saw the 3V win the Class of 2011 Cup, the #5 Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team took on #1 Harvard and #4 Yale at the Charles River Saturday morning.

"Today was a good day of racing in Boston," said Assistant Coach David Burke. "Very happy with how all the boats raced and although there is work to do it shows that we are in the mix in a tight league. It was awesome to see the 3v come home with a convincing win over Harvard and Yale. With the end of the regular season and classes, it allows us to prepare for the Sprints and have every boat reach its potential for that race."

The 3V (5:57.060) finished ahead of the Crimson (6:02.132) and the Bulldogs (6:05.497) to win the Class of 2011 Cup. The 1V (5:39.499) took second behind Harvard (5:42.850) and Yale (5:43.858) while the 2V (5:47.090) also came in second behind the Crimson (5:42.850) and in front of the Bulldogs (5:56.416).
