Men’s Track and Field Garners 11 All-NESCAC Laurels
The Middlebury men's track and field team tallied 11 All-NESCAC laurels following a third-place showing at the conference championships. To claim the honor, an individual or relay team must finish in the top three of their respective events.
The 4x400 relay quartet of Joey Caspar, Lachlan Bishop, Emerson Kington and Wyatt Lawton (L to R) claimed the NESCAC title with a clocking of 3:13.17.

ABOUT THE HONOREES

Toby Warmack (High Jump)

The first-year jumper claimed his initial individual league title in the high jump, spearheading the field with an effort of 2.03 meters.

In addition to securing his first All-NESCAC mark, Warmack reset the program record of 2.00 meters.

Adam Ferreira (Javelin)

Ferreira joined Warmack as a rookie to claim all-conference accolades. The Panther heaved the implement 59.71m on his fourth attempt to finish second.

The league laurel is Ferreira's first.

Owen Johnson (3,000 Steeplechase)

In the 3,000 steeplechase, Johnson posted a runner-up time of 9:06.00.

He secures his first NESCAC recognition.

Sam Spector (Hammer Throw)

Spector recorded a throw of 56.04m during his penultimate try, finishing second by 0.51m.

Earning his first all-conference selection, Spector topped his best collegiate effort in the discipline by over four meters.

Joey Caspar (400 & 400 Hurdles)

Caspar nearly added an individual NESCAC title to his resume, trailing Amherst's Cody Pierce by just under three-tenths of a second to garner runner-up praise in the 400.

During the 400 hurdles, he stopped the clock at 52.32 seconds for third. Along with his 4x400 relay selection, Caspar pushed his career conference award total to four.

Donnell Harvey Jr. (100)

The sophomore scorched through the 100 with a personal-best clocking of 10.64, taking second in the meet's shortest event after claiming the crown a campaign ago.

Harvey Jr. entered the championship meet with a pair of NESCAC laurels and added two more between the 100 and 4x100 relay.

Caleb Smith (Long Jump)

In the long jump, Smith tore down a 40-year-old program record with his career-best leap of 7.07m to claim third place.

The junior collects his third conference accolade, with all three coming in different events.

Ben Martin (Discus)

Martin tossed the discus 44.44m to place third in the event and earn his first league recognition.
RELAY HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS

The 4x400 relay grouping of Wyatt Lawton, Emerson Kington, Lachlan Bishop and Caspar clocked a victorious time of 3:13.17, rewriting the NESCAC meet record by over two seconds. Bishop earns his third league laurel, while Kington adds his second and Lawton logs his first.

The Middlebury quartet of Cameron Miles, Benjamin Prestes, Jakob Kuelps and Zach Utz carved out a runner-up showing of 7:39.83 in the 4x800, trailing the winning squad by just 0.29 seconds. The praise marks the second for Miles and Utz, and the first for Prestes and Kuelps.

Sebastian Hoiland, Hayden Bobowick, Sebastian Pantzer and Harvey Jr. took third in the 4x100, crossing the finish line in 47.39 seconds. Bobowick's selection is his third, while Hoiland and Pantzer each earn their first.
