Men's Golf Finishes Tenth at Tim Brown Invitational

BALLSTON SPA, NY (April 12, 2026) – The Tufts University men's golf team finished tied for tenth in the two round two-day Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College at the Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, New York.

After a strong day one which had Tufts in seventh, the Jumbos did not have the same success today as they added 10 strokes to their score from the previous day to drop to tenth.

Jason Zawtocki headlined the new lineup this weekend with a four over par finish throughout the 36 holes of play. The first year showed off his potential today with a one par score of 72 to capture a seventh place finish individually. Zawtocki recorded and impressive six birdies in the final round with four coming on what would be the front nine.

Keegan Carnell followed behind Zawtocki with a 14 over par total across the two-day event. After ending round one nine over par, the junior responded well as he cut four strokes off of his final total today compared to yesterday's score. After opening day two with two double bogeys in the first three holes, Carnell notched 12 par or better holes the rest of the way to capture a stroke total of 76 to finish 52nd individually.

Reed Bodley captured 16 over par totals throughout the weekend to finish tied for 66th individually. Both golfers struggled today after opening the invitational in the top 40. Bodley collected a day two score of 14 over par (85), while Thomson finished nine over (80).

Doug Eastman capped off the lineup for the Jumbos with a 21 over par total throughout the two day tournament. East had an up and down day, grasping a 14 over par (85) total on day two to finish 82nd individually.

The Jumbos finished behind fellow NESCAC opponents Bowdoin, Bates, Hamilton, Williams, Trinity (Conn.), and Amherst. Tufts will travel to Conyers, GA to compete in the Emory University Spring Invitational next weekend at Cherokee Run Golf Club.
