Women's squash breezes to Walker Cup quarterfinal win over Haverford

PHILADELPHIA -- The Hamilton College Continentals won six matches in three games and cruised to an 8-1 victory against the Haverford College Fords in a Walker Cup quarterfinal at the 2026 College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships inside Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Friday afternoon, Feb. 27.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Hamilton College Continentals won six matches in three games and cruised to an 8-1 victory against the Haverford College Fords in a Walker Cup quarterfinal at the 2026 College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships inside Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Friday afternoon, Feb. 27.

Hamilton (9-9 overall) defeated Haverford by the same score less than a week before on Feb. 21. The Continentals were 22nd in the Feb. 23 CSA varsity team rankings and seeded second in the Walker Cup draw. The Fords were 27th in the varsity team rankings and the seventh seed in the Walker Cup draw.

Poppy Huffman '29 won in three games at the second position and

Diya Dhillon '29 was leading two games-to-none when her opponent retired from their third position match.

Lily Spencer '26 (fourth position),

Sydney Hellinger '29 (fifth) and

Chiara Nadel '27 (sixth) were victorious at the middle of the ladder. Spencer and Hellinger are tied for the team lead with eight wins apiece, while Nadel evened her season record at 5-5.

Mila Karimov '26 (seventh),

Gardner Huston '29 (eighth) and

Natalie McCollum '29 (ninth) swept their opponents in three games at the bottom of the ladder. Huston improved to 5-1 this season and McCollum is still perfect at 4-0.

Hamilton takes on Franklin & Marshall College in the Walker Cup semifinals on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m.
