McGowan Advances to 125 National Championship Match

CLEVELAND, OHIO --

Marc-Anthony McGowanwill compete for the National Championship at 125 tomorrow, after advancing through the quarterfinals and semifinals on day two of the NCAA Championships on Friday.

After upsetting no. 2 Eddie Ventresca (Virginia Tech) in the quarterfinals with a sudden-victory decision, McGowan took down no. 14 Jacob Moran (Indiana) in the semifinals, 4-1, to advance to tomorrow's final and claim All-American status.

Advancing to the championship match, McGowan becomes Princeton's 10th-ever finalist. He is the first since Pat Glory '23.

There, he will face no. 1 Luke Lilledahl of Penn State as he fights for gold. The NCAA finals will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
