CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago softball team swept the UAA Softball Athlete of the Week honors this week, as announced by the University Athletic Association on Monday afternoon.

Nicole Wong was named the UAA Pitcher of the Week, and

Natalie Antin was named the UAA Hitter of the Week.

Nicole Wong was a perfect 3-0 in the circle this week for the Maroons, helping lead UChicago to a 4-1 week overall.

The Arcadia, California native threw 18.0 innings with only three earned runs allowed, recording eight strikeouts to just one walk. She finished the week with an impressive 1.17 ERA and 0.83 WHIP across three starts, recording one of the best pitching weeks of her career.

In her past five starts, the senior biological sciences major has thrown 26.1 innings with only six earned runs allowed for a 1.59 ERA. She has also struck out 10 batters to just three walks with a WHIP under one during that span.

Natalie Antin was one of the top hitters in the country last week, reaching base 13 times in 20 plate appearances for the Maroons.

The junior history major from Los Angeles, California, tallied eight hits and five walks for a .533 batting average and a .650 on-base percentage, and she ripped three extra-base hits for a slugging percentage of .867 and an OPS over 1.500 on the week. Antin also drove in six runs and scored three runs while going a perfect 2-2 on stolen base attempts.

The Pitcher of the Week award is the first of both the season and her career for Wong, and she is the first UChicago pitcher to be named the UAA Athlete of the Week during the 2026 season. The Hitter of the Week selection for Antin is the second of both the season and her career, and she becomes the first UChicago softball player in recorded history to earn multiple UAA Athlete of the Week awards in a single season.

Antin, Wong, and the rest of the UChicago softball team wrap up its regular season this weekend as the Maroons travel to Massachusetts for a three-game series with Brandeis University, beginning on Friday afternoon.
