Men's Track & Field Tallies Ten Podium Finishes at the Chicagoland Championships

ELMHURST -- The University of Chicago men's track and field team capped off the Chicagoland Championships on Saturday afternoon as the Maroons tallied ten podium finishes overall in the meet.

Oluwaseyi Kadiri led the Maroons with an event win in the Javelin Throw. Kadiri threw a mark of 54.24 meters that ranks #50 in NCAA Division III this season.

Spencer May added the lone first-place finish in track events for the Maroons as he took home the title in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:39.88.

Aryan Shrivastava picked up the third and final first-place finish in the meet with a mark of 14.89 meters in the Triple Jump.

Adrian Diem earned a second-place finish in the Pole Vault with a jump of 4.33 meters that ranks tenth in UChicago history and as the fourth-best in UChicago freshman history.

Siméon Gheysens also added a second-place finish in the 5000m Run with a time of 15:03.67 that ranks as the eighth-fastest in UChicago freshman history.

The final top two finish of the meet came from

Nathaniel Stuit as he finished second in the 400m Run with a time of 48.65 seconds which ranks fifth all-time in UChicago history.

The Maroons will return to action next week as the Maroons travel to Wheaton for their final UAA Championship tune-up at the Don Church Invitational.
