#7 Men's Golf Finishes in Top 10 at Capital City Classic

The #7 ranked Emory men's golf team wrapped up play at the Capital City Classic Tuesday afternoon, finishing in 10th place with a team total 892 (+28) over three rounds.

Host program Huntingdon took first with 861 (-3) while Methodist and UAA foe Carnegie Mellon rounded out the podium with team totals of 866 (+2) and 875 (+11).

Junior

Kevin Mu led the Eagles, shooting a 74 (+2) to bring him to a 222 (+6) tournament total. His final round was highlighted by an eagle on the 8

th hole along with two birdies and six bogeys to come in 26

th place.

Brady Lagendyk and

Brian Hanson came in behind Mu as they each shot a 224 (+8) over three rounds to tie for 30

th place. Lagendyk shot a 75 (+3) in his final round with three birdies and six bogeys while Hanson shot a 74 (+2) with two birdies and four bogeys.

Behind them was graduate student

Pearse Lucas who finished in 59

th place with a 230 (+14) total for the tournament. Lucas shot his best round of the tournament, shooting a 75 (+3) with four birdies, five bogeys and a double bogey in the final 18 holes.

Rounding it out for the Eagles was

Dru Devata, who shot an 86 (+14) to end with a 233 (+17) for the tournament. The freshman shot a birdie-less round with five bogeys and four double bogeys to end in 70

th place.

The Eagles will be back on the course on April 18 for their final regular season tournament as they host the Discover Dekalb Emory Invitational.
