Edwards Named an Honorable Mention to the All-UAA Team

Case Western Reserve University graduate student guard Ethan Edwards was selected as an honorable mention to the All-University Athletic Association Team following his outstanding 2025-26 campaign for the Spartans.
It was the first career All-UAA honor for Edwards, who completed his first season with the Spartans this year after playing for Brandeis as an undergraduate.
Edwards finished the season ranked third among UAA players and 67th overall in Division III with 20.1 points per game, while leading the league and ranking 12th in Division III with 3.19 made three-pointers per contest. Coming back from an injury to start the season, he went on to play in 21 games, including 19 as a starter, shooting 41.1% from the floor, 38.1% from three-point range, and 77.1% from the free throw line. He added 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He elevated his play further in UAA play, starting all 14 games and finishing third among conference players with 23.7 points per game in league play, making 44.8% of his shots overall and 41.3% from long range, and was second among UAA players with 1.9 steals per game.
The highlight of Edwards' year was his program and conference record 54-point effort against Rochester, the most points scored in an NCAA game (Division I, II, or III) this season. Edwards also set the UAA and program records for made field goals (18) and made three-point shots (12) during the game. It was one of four efforts of 30 or more points he recorded during the season, and one of nine games of 20 or more points. He went on to earn USBWA Division III Men's National Player of the Week, D3hoops.com Team of the Week, and UAA Athlete of the Week honors for the performance. Edwards also matched the program record with seven steals in a game twice during the year.
Edwards is one of just 35 players in the history of the UAA (which began men's basketball play during the 1987-88 campaign) to average 20 or more points per game over a season, but is the first to not receive All-UAA First or Second Team honors. He joins former Spartan Sam Trunley (second team in 2024-25) as the only two players in UAA history to average 20 or more points and not be named to the All-UAA First Team.
The Spartans won their final two games of the 2025-26 campaign to finish tied for sixth in the UAA with a 4-10 conference record. CWRU ended the season with a 12-13 overall mark.
