Women's Track & Field Takes Third at UAA Outdoor Championships

FULL RESULTS

CLEVELAND -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team brought home a third-place finish from the 2026 UAA Outdoor Championships this weekend. The Maroons tallied one UAA title and seven podium finishes overall in the meet.

Marina Semple won the lone event in the meet for the Maroons as she earned the Long Jump title with a mark of 5.76 meters in her only event of the weekend.

Katja Dunayevich earned the top finish in the track portion of the meet for the Maroons as she finished second in the 10000m Run with a time of 36:17.56. The freshman also added a second podium finish in the 5000m Run with a third-place finish in a time of 17:06.08.

Clara Bennett earned a runners-up finish in the High Jump with a mark of 1.65 meters, and

Yichen Ding placed third in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 34.39 meters to round out the top finishers in field events.

Maddie Lyons earned the final individual podium finish for the Maroons as she placed third in the 100m Dash with a time of 12.17 seconds. Lyons also finished in sixth in the 200m Dash with a time of 25.32 seconds.

The Maroons earned one relay podium finish in the meet as the 4x800m Relay team of

Lauren Moskal,

Olivia Resnick, and

Emma Kelly placed second with a time of 9:10.25.

Following the UAA Championships meet, UChicago will return to action on Friday, May 1, as the Maroons head to Bloomington, Indiana for the first last chance meet.
